What is School Readiness?
It's not just letters and numbers. There are four core areas, each with their own set of skills, that your child needs to be best prepared for the transition to school.

Our School Readiness Program is is run by Future Learners Co Co-Director Stacey, a classroom teacher since 2011, and mum of 4 young kids.
She not only knows what preschoolers need from an educational perspective, but brings a calming, kind presence to sessions that immediately make kids feel at ease.

Starting school is a big step, and it's natural to have questions along the way. Here are the ones we hear most often from parents. If you don't see your question here, we're always happy to chat.
My child already goes to kinder, do they need this too?
Kinder builds great foundations of social and emotional development – our School Readiness Program builds on that with a specific, structured focus on the Victorian Curriculum skills your child will meet on day one of school, like early literacy, numeracy, and classroom routines. Think of it as a complement to kinder, not a replacement for it.
My child is shy or anxious about new environments. How will they cope?
This is exactly what our Emotional Readiness pillar is built for. Our sessions are run in small groups with a consistent, supportive, qualified classroom teacher. Children build confidence separating from a parent and joining group activities gradually – well before it counts on day one of school.
What's the difference between the 3YO and 4YO programs?
The 3-year-old program is a shorter for children starting school in 2028, focused on early foundations. The 4-year-old program is a longer session for children starting school in 2027, with a deeper focus on classroom-ready routines and curriculum content. Both are Victorian Curriculum-aligned.
